High School Winter REtreat! FEb. 14-17th
This winter we are offering a totally new weekend trip to our High School students! We will be heading to Rockbridge Alum Springs for a 3 day long retreat with 100s of other High School students! Rockbridge is a beautiful camp property owned by Young Life and literally designed for High school retreats! This particular weekend is hosted by the Anglican Church in Virginia! The weekend is going to be full of fun games, great teaching, good food and lots of time to grow and reflect on our relationship with God! On a personal note, Rockbridge is a special place to our Director of Student Ministry: Nathan Horner. Nathan spent hundreds of hours working at Rockbridge with Young Life and saw many of his close friends come to a living and active faith in Jesus while there!
This is a 3 day weekend since there is no school on Monday, February 17th. We will depart together from Galilee in vans on Friday, hopefully around 4:30pm and return on Monday around 3:00pm! Guys and Girls will stay in separate cabins! If you have any questions regarding the trip please email Nathan at nhorner107@gmail.com. If you'd like to take a look at Rockbridge's facilities simply search Rockbridge Alum Springs.

Christmas Town High School Trip
We will be visiting Christmas Town at Busch Gardens with our High School students! This is a really awesome experience and a great way to get more into the holiday spirit, while having a ton of fun together! We will be taking a 15 passenger van that will depart from Galilee Church at 2pm and return around 9pm. The cost covers the admission ticket but students will need to bring some extra money for food.
Together, we learn to fully depend on God so that he can equip, connect, and powerfully work through us.
Who We Are
Our mission statement sums it up; we truly believe that the BEST life is one most closely following God. We desire to meet students where they are in order to shepherd them towards the source of all things good. Connection through reading of his written word (The Bible), prayer, and fellowship. We also try to have a lot of fun doing it.
Weekly Youth Group Meetings
Galilee students meet weekly for Youth Group on Sunday evenings! This is a great time for fun, fellowship and an opportunity to learn more about what it means to follow God with our whole lives! If you have any questions contact Nathan Horner.
- 6-8th grade meets from 4:00-5:15pm on Sundays.
- 9-12th grade meets from 5:30-6:45pm on Sundays.
High School Small Group
High School students from Galilee meet every week in the Cove on Thursday from 7:00-8:00pm to ask big questions about life, God, and what it means to follow Jesus. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what the Bible says and how it is useful for our lives!
