Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

welcome

Our nursery, toddler, and elementary programs are a welcoming place for all children where they can learn of God’s love and grace while learning to be a part of a church family. Our focus here at Galilee is to continue to provide support for families while creating opportunities for your children to continue to grow in their faith.

Sunday Mornings

Childcare

Children of any age are welcome at our services. Parents who prefer to take their children to the nursery, toddler, or preschool rooms upstairs will find bright, cheerful spaces staffed by experienced, loving child care workers who have received Safe Church and First  Aid training.

Children’s Chapel

We offer a Children’s Chapel service for little ones during the 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. service.
The age range is about 4 through 10, but younger and older children (including teenagers) can participate.

9:15 a.m.

11:00 a.m.

During the 9:15 a.m. service children depart to Saint Andrew’s Chapel following our opening prayers and music. Next, children gather to hear the stories of our faith, followed by time to wonder together about how the message applies to their daily life. Chapel ends with prayer before returning to the Sanctuary before  Communion.
For the 11:00 a.m. service children stay past the Sunday School ‘pick up’ time to continue with Chapel in Jordan Hall. They follow the earlier Chapel service lesson before ending in prayer to return to the Sanctuary before Communion.

Children’s Sunday School

Children at Galilee grow in faith through a meaningful and playful study of the Bible.
Our classes for children use a dynamic curriculum that follows the Lectionary and includes hands-on activities,
Bible memory verses,  worship time, along with creative projects.
Sunday School meets in two separate locations depending on a child’s grade, beginning at 10:15 am.
Children that have not yet started Kindergarten meet upstairs on the Children’s Hall.
Children that have started Kindergarten and are in Elementary School through Fifth Grade meet downstairs in Jordan Hall.
Our high school Student Leadership Team helps teach and facilitate the lessons along with adults that are part of our Children’s Team.

Student Leadership Team

Any high school student who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is willing to commit to being a positive role model,
both in and out of Galilee, may apply to be a part of the Student Leadership Team during the year.
The Leadership Team will be actively involved in teaching and participating in activities with our Children’s Program.
