Children's Ministry

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

welcome

Galilee's nursery, toddler, and elementary programs provide a welcoming environment where children can experience God’s love and grace while learning what it means to be part of a church family. Our mission is to support families and foster opportunities for children to grow in their faith and spiritual journey.

Sunday Mornings

Nursery and toddler ministry

While children of all ages are welcome at our services, we also provide a dedicated upstairs nursery and toddler ministry staffed by experienced childcare professionals and Galilee volunteers trained in Safe Church practices and First Aid. Parents can check their children in securely, ensuring peace of mind as they enjoy the service and other morning programs. Each week, our nursery and toddler ministry provides a strong foundation for faith formation, allowing young children to experience God’s love through engaging Bible stories, lessons, crafts, activities, prayer, and a themed snack.

Children’s Chapel

Children's Chapel is offered during the 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services, with lessons aligned to the day's lectionary readings, mirroring the sermon message. Although Chapel is designed for children ages 4 to 10, we welcome children of all ages, including teenagers, to participate in the lesson, prayer, crafts, and activities, fostering a deeper understanding of the order and meaning of the service.

9:15 a.m.

11:00 a.m.

During the 9:15 a.m. service, children leave for the Children's Hall upstairs after the opening prayers and music. Children return to the Sanctuary around the
Peace in time for Communion with their family.
At the 11:00 a.m. service, children are dismissed after the first hymn. Those who attended Sunday School remain upstairs for Chapel, returning to the Sanctuary around the Peace in time for Communion with their family.

Children’s Sunday School

At Galilee, preschool and elementary children grow in faith through a meaningful and engaging study of the Bible. Our dynamic curriculum breaks the Bible into smaller chronological parts and includes hands-on activities, Bible memory verses, games, prayer time, creative projects, and themed snacks. Sunday School meets upstairs in Children's Hall from 10:10 a.m. to 11:10 a.m., with classrooms organized by age. The middle and high school Student Leadership Team, along with adults on our Children’s Team, help teach, facilitate the lessons, and guide children in their faith journey.

Student Leadership Team

Middle and High school students who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and are committed to being positive role models, both in and out of Galilee, may apply to join the
Student Leadership Team.  The team will actively participate in teaching, mentoring, and engaging with activities in our Children’s Program. This opportunity fosters growth in leadership and faith.
