Welcome to the prayer ministry at Galilee! There are numerous weekly and monthly opportunities to receive healing prayer from our trained prayer teams. Classes, conferences, and workshops also are available for those wishing to learn more about this amazing and wonderful ministry!
Should you have an urgent need for prayer, please call us at (757) 428-3573 and ask to speak with one of our Rectors.
Weekly Prayer at the Rail
At our Sunday morning services, prayer teams are available to pray confidentially with you following the Communion. Once you have received Communion, you can proceed out the (north) side door to one of the small chapels, where prayer teams will be available to pray for you.

Rite I service including healing prayer (approx. 50 min)
Wednesdays at 11:00am (St. Andrew's Chapel)
Monthly Evening Prayer & Worship Service
Offered on the first Tuesday of the month from 6:45-8pm
Soaking Prayer
Every second Thursday of the month from 8:45-9:30am
Individual Prayer Ministry (IPM)
If you would like a private prayer session, a trained team of two prayer ministers will meet with you privately for up to one hour. Sessions are strictly confidential. Fr. Mumford’s availability is Monday–Thursday 9am–12pm.
The Prayer Teams' availability are more flexible, Contact Lynn at (757) 496-0001.
Healing Prayer Ministry Training:
Offered once or twice a year with material from the
School of Healing Prayer created by Christian Healing Ministries of Jacksonville, FL.
The courses come in three, distinct levels.
Beginner: Level 1 | Intermediate: Level 2 | Advance: Level 3.
The teachings are taught LIVE by Fr. Mumford, senior prayer ministers, and DVD videos.
