Prayer on the Boardwalk, #13
Please save the date for Saturday, April 3, 2021…the Boardwalk ministry is ON!
Twice a year, Galilee and friends gather on the Boardwalk wearing “How May I Pray for You” T-shirts as we offer prayer and refreshments to anyone that wants it. We typically encounter people from all walks of life so it is a wonderful opportunity to connect and share our faith. Even if you have never prayed for anyone in person before, I encourage you to come out and see how we do it.
Here is the Thanksgiving weekend 2020 team photo. I was recently listening to the worship song, “Jesus Paid it All” and was inspired by these words…”Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe. My sin had left a crimson stain, but he washed it white as snow” And the refrain, “Praise the one who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead: Jesus…” It’s amazing how simple words and a simple song refreshed and renewed my mind and spirit, reminding me of the power of Jesus’s death and resurrection in my life now. The message seemed perfect for Easter. “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” Matthew 28:6
What goes through your mind when you read these words? I can picture the disciples running to tell the others that Jesus has risen and is alive….It literally makes me want to RUN to the Boardwalk!!!
