Baptism at Galilee
At Galilee we regard Baptism as a significant and joyous event in the life of your family. It is a time when candidates, parents and godparents (sponsors) make important promises before God and His people.
If you have been away from regular church attendance, and are considering Galilee as a prospective place in which to baptize your child, we ask you to attend for several weeks to determine if it’s the right Christian community for you and, if so, then to schedule a meeting with one of the clergy to discuss membership and finding a date for the baptism.
Public Baptisms in the context of congregational worship are normally offered on the third Sunday of each month, and four other times per year on special Sundays. Our custom is to ask adult baptismal candidates and parents of children who will be baptized to attend instructional sessions prior to the baptism. The Episcopal Church requires this teaching and preparation.

Confirmation Classes for Adults and Youth
Adult classes are held yearly, generally in the spring. Please register with the church office at 428-3573.
Youth Confirmation classes are held yearly, generally in the spring.
For nearly two thousand years Christians who were baptized as infants have been asked to make a mature declaration of their belief in the Christian God. It has always been the custom of the Church for bishops to preside at confirmations–so in advance of a bishop’s visitation to Galilee, we hold classes for adults and teenagers who are in high school.
