The Reverend Dr. Terry Lindvall
Terry Lindvall occupies the C. S. Lewis Chair of Communication and Christian Thought at Virginia Wesleyan University. He studied Biology and Literature at Vanguard University, received his MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary, and his PhD in Communication from the University of Southern California. He has authored twelve books including God Mocks: A History of Religious Satire from the Hebrew Prophets to Stephen Colbert. He is married to Virginia Beach native Karen (Garbis), a musician, and they have two children, Chris, a comedy writer in Los Angeles, and Caroline, who with her husband Cary Joseph, both teach 7th grade English in Virginia Beach public schools. Terry assists at Galilee with adult formation programs.
