The Rev. Kathleen Bobbitt

Priest Associate for Pastoral Care

Rosser and I returned to the beach ten years ago having spent twenty-two years together in the military and living and working in Northern Virginia. We’ve been stationed in Germany and traveled all over the world. A graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary, Alexandria, I also completed Studies in Aging for Gerontology Employees at George Mason University, Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Spirituality and Healing in Medicine, Harvard Medical School. I am a trained mediator. After graduating from the seminary, I served two parishes in Northern Virginia and Director of Chaplaincy and Hospice Chaplain at the Goodwin House Retirement Community. I have had the pleasure of serving six churches in this diocese, four as interim rector, also Dean of Convocation 2 (Virginia Beach), on the Board of Chanco, the Diocesan Executive Board, and the Ecclesiastic Court. I am a member of the Board of the Colonial Dames in the Commonwealth of Virginia. In my spare time I enjoy antiquing (junk shops), early morning walks with Rosser and our dog, Laika, and staying in touch with our three children: Myra Hope with Molly in Massachusetts, Foye in Norfolk, and Max with Kasia in Brussels, Belgium.
