Lent is coming soon and the big question everyone ask is "What are you given up for Lent?" Instead of giving up something... consider giving in to something that draws us closer to God! Try a Lent Group.

2017 Lent Groups

Galilee Church is encouraging everyone to join a Lent Group (8-10 people) for 5 weeks starting March 1. All Groups will last 90 minutes and will have a facilitator leader. The groups will be a chance to build friendships and to grow spiritually during Lent. Each Group will be given the same study guide by Father Andy studying Philippians. The Groups will meet either in a home or at Galilee where childcare will be offered. Register here or contact Ruth Wilkins at ruth@galileechurch.net.

ALPHA is a meal, talk, and discussion to help you or a friend explore the Christian faith in a relaxed and fun setting.

Who is ALPHA for?

Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don't assume any background knowledge of, or belief in, Christianity and everyone is welcome.

What is ALPHA?

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment. The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks, looking at topics including 'Who is Jesus?' and 'Why and how do I pray?', with the option of a weekend away. We meet for a meal and each talk is followed by discussion in small groups. You don't have to commit to the whole course - just come along for the first session and see what you think. The next Alpha course starts January 22, 2017. If you would like more information please email ruth@galileerchurch.net - we look forward to seeing you!
