• Meghan Stufflebeem


    Meghan is the director of Galilee Montessori and holds a BS in Biology from the College of William & Mary. She received her Lower Elementary Montessori training from the Montessori Teacher Education Center in San Francisco, California. She is a member of the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the International Montessori Council (IMS). Meghan, her husband Mark, and their three children live in Virginia Beach and enjoy spending time in the great outdoors.

  • Erica Austin

    Administrator/School Nurse

    Erica joined the Galilee community in the fall of 2014. She received her Bachelor's in Kinesiology from the College of William & Mary and her Bachelor's in Nursing from Old Dominion University. Erica and her family enjoy spending time outside.

  • Jessica Langley

    Toddler Lead Teacher

    Jessica gained interest in Montessori while her twin daughters attended a Montessori Toddler Program in Key West, FL. She is in the process of completing her Montessori Toddler Teacher Certification from Village Montessori Training Center in Miami, FL. Prior to joining the Galilee family she worked as a Registered Nurse in adult and pediatric Intensive Care Units. She holds a B.S.N from the University of Central Florida. She is excited to begin her new career as a teacher. Jessica resides in Virginia Beach with her husband, Peter, and their three daughters.

  • Anne Evans

    Primary Lead Teacher

    Anne is a primary teacher with a BA from Belford University and an American Montessori teaching certification from the Virginia Commonwealth University Teacher Training Program. She has been a teacher with the school for twenty years. Anne is a member of both the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the North American Montessori Teachers’ Association (NAMTA).

  • Anne Stackhouse

    Lower Elementary LEAD TEACHER

    Ms. Anne earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Defiance College in Ohio. Originally from Michigan, Anne relocated to Norfolk, VA in 1985 to pursue her career as a Montessori teacher. More than thirty years later, Anne continues to instill a love of learning in her students. Certified in both Primary and Lower Elementary, her wealth of knowledge is a treasure that benefits our entire school community. Anne and her husband live in Norfolk and enjoy going to the theater and traveling. 

  • Ashley BAUER

    Primary Lead Teacher

    Ashley grew up in Glouster, VA and is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College. While at school she concentrated in Elementary Education and worked in the Recreation Sports and Outdoor Activities office. She has been a part of Galilee Montessori for three years as an assistant and an intern. Ashley completed her primary Montessori Training in the summer of 2014 and will be co-teaching in the upcoming school year. 

  • Maggie Grindrod

    Lead Primary Teacher, All Day Montessori

    Ms. Maggie studied Theatre at Wake Forest University and acted professionally in Chicago, IL before going back to school and earning her Montessori Early Childhood Teaching certification. Before moving to Hampton Roads, Maggie was a Montessori assistant and drama teacher at The Franklin Montessori School in Washington, DC. Ms. Maggie lives in Norfolk with her husband, Andrew, and Bernese mountain dog, Layla. She loves playing music, making art, and enjoying nature while camping in the woods or lying on the beach.

  • Clara Garcia

    Primary Assistant and All Day Montessori

    Clara assists in both the primary classroom and the All Day Montessori Program. Before coming to Virginia Beach she worked as a registered nurse at Jacobi Hospital in New York City. Clara is fluent in Spanish and brings her skills to the All Day program.

  • Denise Overman

    Elementary Assistant

    Denise graduated from Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and East Carolina University before receiving her Certificate in Youth Theology and Spirituality from Princeton Seminary. Prior to joining GMS, Denise worked as the Director of Youth Ministries at Calvary Episcopal Church in North Carolina and then at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Norfolk.
